Request for your International Movement Records
When you apply for an Australian permanent residence or Australian citizenship, you will be required to provide your travel records for the past 10 years. A lot of visa applicants are unable to provide all of their travel records due to several reasons, such as changing a new passport.
The Department of Home Affairs has launched an online form to streamline the process of requesting International Movement Records (only for the records after 1981). If you need movement records from before 1981 you will need to contact the National Archives of Australia.
How to apply for the international movement records?
- Visit the Department of Home Affairs website https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/departmental-forms/online-forms/request-international-movement-records
- Fill in the online form
- Attach the required documents
- Submit the application form
- After around 3-4 weeks, the Department of Home Affairs will send you the international movement records through email
What documents are needed to provide for requesting the international movement records?
