Overview

This permanent visa lets people move to Australia to be with their only close family members.

 

Basic Eligibility requirements

• You must be sponsored by an eligible parent or step-parent, sibling or step-sibling, or an eligible partner of your relative.
• Your sponsor must be a settled Australian citizen, eligible New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
• You must be a remaining relative of your sponsor.
• You do not have other near relatives.
• You must be able to obtain an assurance of support.
• You must meet the health and character requirements.
• You must be outside Australia when you apply for this visa.
